Minute of Silence

28 01 2007

Its a sad day today for both the Taiwan society and the world for losing such a great actress to a car accident. At 17:09 Taiwan time, Xu Wei Lun (許瑋倫) ’s heartbeat stopped, and after a 2 hour revival attempt, they pronounced her dead.

Xu Wei Lun, aged 28, met with an accident on the way to work. Details of the accident is currently not clear but it seems that the Assistant of Xu Wei Lun was driving the car when it lost control and hit the side of the road and skidding towards another lane, which then another truck rammed into it from the back because it didn’t had enough time to stop.

The assistant escaped with minor injuries, and then when the police took her statements, she seemed to be in a bad mental state, giving the police weird statements like they were driving her relatives around the town and that she wasn’t driving the car.

Xu Wei Lun’s fans had prayed together in the hope of her going through the difficult revival attempts, which had failed. Many other friends of her went down to visit her, giving her moral support, which sadly she couldn’t see with her eyes.

She was in Class 3 Coma, which is the worst Class for coma rank. Class 3 for the worst and class 15 for the not so bad cases. She had 3 blood transfusions in total but all gone is gone now. I believe that not just even her fans and her family and friends grieve over the loss of such a outstanding person, many around the world feels the same too. It shocked me totally to the point I didn’t know what to say after I heard the news. 1 moment she was okay, the other moment she had an accident, and then just few hours later, she departed.

No one, and I mean no one had prepared for such a shock like this. Maybe she Rest In Peace and may the loving words and feelings of people around the world be seen and felt by her in heaven.

Goodbye Xu Wei Lun(許瑋倫). We will miss you surely.

I love web programming! I get engrossed in web programming till a point it starts to become somehow a need for me to include it in my own blog and sites. For today’s assignment in school, we were given, web programming!!

I came home at around 2pm, and decided to rest a while because I had a bad flu, and believe me, no one knows a bad flu like I do. I’ll not elaborate on the flu issue for now, maybe some other days.

After resting, I started on my assignment given, and then I realised that xampp webserver is giving me some problems, which results in me not able to view my aspx files. My Windows XP cd is with GX and yes I’m alright with it because I’m not going to go so far to get back a disc. He also forgot about the meeting we are supposed to have to pass me back my disc. Good job.

Why do I need the disc you might ask. I need it to install a Windows Component, the IIS (Internet Information Service), hope that I spelt it correctly. Its a built in webserver which I need so I can view my web programming files. He didn’t return it to me so I had to look for some other 3rd party webserver which didn’t work out well. Here comes the assed part.

While uninstalling the 3rd party webserver, the auto uninstall deleted my Project files, my Assignments, my References examples. I went totally bonkers. It took me 2 hrs or so to recover the shit files using other tools, and imagine me having to go through restoring 20-30 files 1 by 1 through a list of 10,000 other files. I had to look for another webserver too which took up ages of my time. Couldn’t say I wasn’t fed up. I even asked myself why am I doing all this when I can have my XP cd and install the IIS in just 5mins and ready to go? Because GX forgot about the meeting we were supposed to have. I even reminded him like 4 times the night before. Anyway everything’s fine now so I’ll save my energy on better things.

Gonna go finish up some pages in the programming before I go to sleep. Blasted webservers.

OMG!

23 01 2007

I was awaken by my sis at 12+am, around 45mins after I went to sleep. The first word I heard was “Mac”. Mac?! Somehow my hungry self gave in and I went out to see paper bags with the Mcdonalds logo on it. My dad ordered McDelivery! Seldom happens and was awaken immediately.

I saw on the table, 1 McChicken burger set, 1 Prosperity burger set and a extra packet of fries. Was wanting to try out the Chicken Prosperity Burger after seeing the advertisement on the tv, which in case anyone didn’t see it, is the advertisement of 2 kids who are doing their “Shou Shui” for their parents. The parents ordered the prosperity meal set to surprise the kids.

So I took the burger and took a bite. What came next was just waves of hot pepper heat! Its so damn hot, and I don’t mean cold and hot, I mean spicy hot! To think McDonalds advertise it in such a way the parents reward the kids. No wonder they didn’t show the kids eating the burger. Maybe the parents wanted to wake the kids up with the burger? LOL? But the wedges was nice! I love the wedges from the prosperity set, it just feels nicer then in the past.

Now coming back to school topics. School was normal as usual, only that that gay shit jieren started to have one of his emotional breakdown. I hate his kind of attitude, which I think everyone hates it. Whenever he’s going a attitude throwing state, he’ll start to give you his kind of face, even when you did nothing at all. I tell you it’ll be the last time I take his rubbish like this. Won’t be giving him face no more and flaming him off.

Went home and when I reached the transfer stop, I just saw waves of secondary school students at the bus stop. Uh-oh. 2.15pm and they are coming to the bus stop! Gonna be a flooded bus trip home. On the bus, as expected, the bus was so full till it looked like it would be ready to explode anytime.

After a few brief minutes of standing, ALAS, I saw a seat!! I took my seat and eh what the hell, half of my butt was sitting, the other half floating. Another inconsiderate big butted guy. He even placed his bag between his legs on the chair! That’s what they call “Dua Lan Pa”. I had to endure the whole 20mins trip home with only half my butt supporting the whole body.

Blast these people. Blast them.

Not exactly the day

22 01 2007

iWad test was a disaster. I don’t know whether is it being done on purpose or not but setting a test based on something which was taught in like less then 3 hour is very very stupid. We’ve been learning SQL queries for the past 1 month+ or so, and now what, the test is based on a 3 hour “learnt” topic.

And just to make things worse, the questions are linked. Linked! If you can’t do the harder questions 3, you will not be able to do the easy questions of 4-7. This term is definately not the best term for the assignments and then now he sets an amazingly clueless kind of paper for us.

No wonder so many people got dropped out from the GPA 4 range after the first sem.

Going through the usual routines at home. Some good news regarding my PSP! Should be getting it soon hahaha. Look at me, Look at the gleam in my eyes! Just to try out some simple functions in wordpress. Look at the picture! Just want to compare the image upload function of blogger and wordpress.

Sony PSP

Woo. Big image? More the better to see it~ Actually I was planning to try out the Post Password but just couldn’t a good private post. I’ll be off to eat some things. Had a quite moderate dinner just now but now I’m having gastric. Weird day~.

Breakthrough

Been thinking of whether to move my blog to wordpress for ages and well here I am, finally making up the decision of trying out wordpress and see how it goes. Having been with blogger for quite a while, it’s quite a choice for me to make to move to wordpress. Having said that, I’ll be trying out wordpress for a while, and not announcing the decision yet and If things go well here at wordpress, I should be redirecting all my traffic over here. *Whines about the limited templates*.

Some things I like here at wordpress is surely the password protected posts. Somehow I love control over my sites and such and authentication is surely a must be, which blogger doesn’t provide me with. I love blogger with the template customisation, but the control we have over the site is soooo little. Don’t expect me to password protect my blog with a Javascript code, any 10 year old will be able to access it then~.

Somethings new somethings gone. I guess we won’t be seeing a tagboard here anytime soon. But I guess that’s where the comments function kicks in. I’ll love to see how this comments function works out with my friends yea.

Can’t wait to try out the password protect post function! Hmmm. More for me to edit and explore around wordpress. Shall look back again!
