Spiderman 3, Retribution

Outing with hw, drey, miao. For quite some time I’ve been cooped up at home, due to some stupid throat infection. Our plans for the day was to watch Spiderman 3 at Lido. Hw came to my house at 2.30pm to meet up first, and so he could fulfill some of his Audition Cravings. After some gaming, I had my bath and we set out with our PSP to Ang Mo Kio first.

Hw wanted to look at some PSP Stickers which he can stick onto his faceplate. For people who don’t know how the stickers looked like:

When we reached Funz Centre at AMK Hub, I can tell you, the place is PACKED, and I seriously
meant it. It was taking us some effort to squeeze to the reception area and what we saw was just people flooded around the reception area, and there was no way we were able to talk to the sales personnel at the counter, and so we decided to leave and come back another day.

We decided to head off to Lido straight since it was already 5pm and we were meeting them at 5pm too, as the movie is starting at 5.55pm. On the way out, miao called hw and a few minutes later, Hw told me something shocking.

Time: 5.05pm

Hongwei: Miao says Drey will be late.
Me: Okay.
Hongwei: She says Drey just came out of the bath.
Me: WTH?! *Stand and looking shocked*

I was wondering how in the world was she getting to Lido at 5.55pm. Hw and I waited a while at the AMK (Ang Mo Kio) MRT Station before heading off to Orchard to meet Miao first. We reached Lido at around 5.50pm and was waiting for Drey to arrive in her Cab.

Time: 6.00pm

Finally we saw Drey coming up! We went in the Cinema and the Ads were running. We found our seats beside Drey’s parents, who were the ones who kindly offered us the 5 Dollar Tickets for this Movie. 谢谢！The show started a few short minutes later and there we go, Spiderman 3!

Experience: Spiderman 3

The movie Spiderman 3, is actually the 2nd Spiderman movie I’ve watched. To be honest, I was not really into this Spiderman stuff for some reason I am unable to explain, and so I held on my to opinions before the Movie screening. The Cast was a experienced one, which I think everyone will agree, having seen them for almost 3 episodes now.

• The story plot is a pleasant surprise, and why do I say that is because, in this movie, they didn’t just harp on the fact that Spiderman 3 will win, but instead in this episode, we know more about the villains like Sandman, Venom. It’s interesting to see how the great villains come about and the reason they hate Spiderman for.

• Something I don’t like in movies are repetitive fighting scenes, but I’m glad to say that the fighting scenes in Spiderman 3 are fast paced while displaying a lot of actions and pure excitement. Especially during the scenes between the 2 heroes and 2 villains. Simply Marvelous.

• The “New” factors were present in the movie in alot of parts of the show. We do tend to see movies harping on a single point throughout the whole movie, and no matter how many people dies, how many people survives, how the happy ending comes about, its always, Saving the world first! However in Spiderman 3, there are always new and interesting plots and things happening that keeps you awake throughout the movie. Content, yes the Content.

• The movie starts on with a slower pace on the glory of Spiderman and more of Spiderman and Mary Jane’s personal story, and only after a somewhat long run before the point of the “Black Spiderman” starts to fall in.

• I really liked the fight between Spiderman and Venom, and I must say the fight between them was what I think one of the most nicely done fights in the Spiderman Series.

Summarizing this experience, I think that Spiderman 3 is a must watch movie even for people who do not really go after Spiderman comics. Although it might be a good suggestion for you guys to catch Spiderman 2 on DVD before you watch the 3rd sequel, so as to get a better grip and understanding of the story behind the Villains and Spiderman.

After our Spiderman 3 movie, we walked around Orchard, thinking of what to do next. Suggestions like Kbox, Movie again were brought up but none were confirmed yet, and so we took a walk to Cineleisure to take a look at the Movies line up. Upon reaching Cine, we took a short look at the Movies lineup and decided that we shall have our “Dinner” at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, before watching the movie 200 Pound Beauty.

The queue for Hong Kong Cafe was horrifyingly long. After we managed to get in, we took our time to order our food and YES! My Baked Rice! and Milk Tea! *The Pictures are not with me YET, so I can’t post them up. Will update the post with pictures the moment I get them.* After our feast, we decided to hog the seats and table, and just play our PSP there LOL. We were having fun playing Wario Ware on the GBA Emulator. Going crazy and shouting out after every stage.

After hogging up the seats for nearly an hour plus, we went to rest a while outside Cineleisure before going in again to buy the tickets for our next show. Upon reaching the ticket booth, we were, *SURPRISED*. The tickets were all sold out except for the first 2 rows LOL. SO YA we were deciding what to do when suddenly, don’t know who *I really forgot* said that we should try watching Retribution, and although I’m not a avid Horror Movie Fan, I decided to go for it, since theres no other movies left, and I can scare myself pale again.

The show was 3.40AM so we sat at the Level 6 Seats for nearly 3 hours, playing our PSP and scaring Drey with my Ghost Stories LOL. Soon everyone was getting tired until we suggested playing Wario Ware - Yellow Pig stage and there was only 1 life for each game, so losers had to pass the PSP along whenever we lost. It was darn funny seeing everyone losing at the first level LOL. *Less then 5 seconds and we had to pass it on*.

Finally, the show. We got our “Couple Seats” at the back and I suppose couple seats are to be paired right? So what the hell is 7 Seats doing at the back, 3rd party relationship?

Experience: Retribution (Japanese Horror Film) *Or at least that’s what they said.*

I am tearing while writing this Experience Review, and no words can describe how I feel after watching that movie. I almost ended up scolding vulgarities at the movie itself. IT SUCKS. AND IT SUCKS.

• WTF IS THE GHOST WALKING TO THE DOOR AND OPENING THE DOOR USING THE DOOR KNOB?!
• WHAT THE HELL IS THE GHOST FLYING LIKE SUPERMAN? AND WHEN I SAY SUPERMAN, PLEASE IMAGINE, BECAUSE IT DID FLEW LIKE SUPERMAN KNN.
• AND WAH LAN, THE MAN PUSHED THE GHOST, AND IT F**KING FELL DOWN CB.
• AND THEN THE STORY IS ABOUT: ?????????????. I F**KING DON’T KNOW AND ITS NOT THAT I DON’T WANT TO WATCH, ITS BECAUSE THERE IS NO STORY?!
• THE STORY SUCK, THE GHOST DOESN’T LOOK LIKE A GHOST, AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS BITCH MOVIE.
• Worst Movie Ever. WILL ALWAYS BE THE WORST.

I don’t even want to bother looking for the posters / pictures of this F**king Movie. Go to hell Director, Scriptwriter.

The worst experience ever in my life. Hope that it doesn’t happen ever again.

After the F**king show, we stoned outside Cineleisure until it was 6.05AM before we took a cab home. Miao dropped first, then Drey the Ge Ming, then It was me and then Hw. Slept straight after hair wash and woke up at 12.30PM for my meeting with Jieren, Hafiz, Qingsheng.

I met Jieren and Hafiz at Jurong East before heading off to AMK to meet Qingsheng to do our Entrepreneurship Project. We stopped by at Funz Centre before Heading off to AMK Library. The seats were full there and luckily after a few girls took their leave, we took their seats and started on our project. Jieren was as usual, looking at girls and we had to keep asking him to stop it because of E******* ~!. Note to Jieren: We have the rights to look, you don’t, because you lost your freedom LOL. So we continued on our project and girls spotting as usual, and finally, we done up what should be done.

I suggested Double Fillet, because the Ads tempted and seduced me to buy the Double Fillet to eat. We headed off to Mac and really finished off our Double Fillet while they were messing with the sauces =.=! After a bit of tinkering, we went to Funz Centre to take a look at things and I decided that late August / Early September, I will be getting a Nintendo Wii.

That’s a 99.99% confirmation that I will be getting it and I have done the calculations and decided that the deal will be done. Watch out for my Nintendo Wii Soon ^^.

Youtube: 怪谈

I’ve been watching Youtube videos lately and I chanced upon this series of talk show, 怪谈. Its a Hong Kong hosted show and what the show does is to go visit places of “Interests”, like the haunted theme park in Taiwan, and heading off to Thailand to see the rituals of summoning “Little Ghost”. 1 very exciting episode is the Summoning of 徐伟伦’s soul. For more news on her, check archives post.

They showed the process where they summon her soul, and It was somehow heart breaking to think of the fact that a young lady like her, have to leave the world so early. Life’s just so… (Fill me In). I’m waiting for the next episode to be posted on Youtube and next episode, they are going to Thailand!. *Excited*.

Actually I was wanting to post up the pictures of my Hong Kong Exchange Program, but then my Camera doesn’t allow USB Connection to the PC, and I don’t have a SD Card Reader. *Darn Camera LOL*.

Its been so long since I’ve went out for a movie / walk. Thanks to my body the past few weeks. I finally feel better. Looking forward to tomorrow’s outing with drey, miao, hw. Spiderman 3, and Its time for me to write out a review about the show tomorrow =). Because I just took up the post of EXCO for Newsletter in the IT Club, and well, every post is a training post~.

Too many things to blog about. Most exciting part of today’s blogging experience is here! Jieren’s Adventure! Today we saw the girl Jieren had wanted to know, so we were pushing him to get the number from the girl. Firstly he had boasted to me in the morning that he will get the number if he saw the girl again. I told him that he will not dare to do so for sure =). So during the bus trip home, we saw the girl, and she was taking the same bus as us.

We were on top of the double deck and then we had to speak till our throats were dry before he finally walked down to the lower deck. Hw accompanied him and 5mins later *or was it 10?*, he came up wit the girl’s number! LOL. Its been a long time since I’ve seen this kind of stuff happening, so exciting eh?! JIEREN WOOT LOL.!

Took a hair cut at Storm in Jurong Point today. Hurray to new hair =). Might be dropping down at AMK Hub Funz Centre tml, depending on the plan and timing of the Spiderman 3 show. For now It’ll be relaxation time and Audi-ing (AuditionSEA).
