MLM? I slap you I tell you.
29 03 2008Its 3am and I’m stll infront of the monitor. Bad habit that I’ve got to shake, but not before I finish up this post. I was reading through forum threads and Wikipedia’s contents on MLM (Multi Level Marketing), and I sat here, thinking back about MLM examples in my life.
I realized how similar the cases were in all the MLM recruitment stories.
First your friend or long lost friend calls you up, asking you out for dinner. Then they say to bring you to their company for a walk. Then whack, MLM in your face.I’m so agitated thinking about it that I’m going to type this post in pure agitation and occasionally a mix of broken English. I remember so long ago, my cousin approached me asking me whether I would want to join his company for some job. And yes, it was a MLM company. However, he did clarify to me that it was a MLM company before I went down and me being young and all, didn’t know what MLM was, and so I went.
Luckily, I didn’t join although the offer and benefits are very tempting. If its too good to be true, its not. And so years passed, me growing wiser every moment (HAHAHA).
Then I remember a secondary school friend of mine, who approached me ages ago, to chat and talk. After some time, this friend of mine started to talk about work and goals in life, which leads to asking me whether I want to work in the same company as her, and it was no harm talking a walk down at their company. I rejected it, firstly because I wasn’t comfortable with that idea, and secondly I wasn’t really interested in work then.
When I thought it was all over, not long ago, an ITE classmate, who had been skipping school for ages, called up me and 2 other friends, saying that he wants to treat us dinner, because he earned his first pay at work. We didn’t think much about it, because we are the only people he hangs out during the time he was in school, and so we agreed.
Upon finishing lunch, he told us his friend was coming to fetch us to his company to take a look. My first thought was “Why the fuck are we going to your company? Were we even told beforehand?”. Trying to be a polite person, I didn’t say anything. We went to his company in his friend’s BMW, along the way with the propaganda conversation attacking us psychologically.
We were hyped, but just 3 days into their “Training” also known as “I-brainwash-you-idiots-and-suck-your-relative’s-money” program, I came to realized this MLM hype, was just a pile of dung pit waiting for idiots to sink in.We made up our minds, and angrily we stopped going for those nonsensical sessions. I bet the moment the news of us not going back to that Son-of-a-scam-hole place, they were cursing and spitting saliva into each other’s well dressed high class scammer individuals.
This is so like religion. I understand everyone has their own religion and beliefs, but if you are going to preach them to me infront of my face, then please, fuck off. I care not of your great religion (HAHAHA!!!) or great MLM money making scheme (DOUBLE HAHAHA!!).
If you want to try and clear my doubts about that, thanks but no thanks, I have no doubts about MLM, its bullshit. =).The next person who “INVITES” me to join MLM or try and preach to me about how great their own religion is, I swear I’ll punch your set of teeth into your mouth that never stops spewing nonsense.
